I hide away in shady streets And I watch your moves And I hear your beat And you say you're mine But you're really disco You've been messing around And that's no go I've got conclusive evidence Can you look in my eyes And you say I can't see you Cause you got work to do But you be buzzing downtown And I know cause I've seen you I can't trust you at all You don't tell the truth So I've been checking out And now I've got the truth I've got conclusive evidence Can you look in my eyes I've got conclusive evidence Can you look in my, look in my eyes Look in my, look in my eyes Look in my, look in my eyes Look in my, look in my eyes Can you look in my eyes Can you look in my eyes Can't you see I've had enough Had enough, had enough Have you seen my reaction To your loving words And have you noticed the fashion Or the way I'm turning I just can't stand it with your love if I stay Either show me the back door Or show me your heart I've got conclusive evidence Can you look in my eyes I've got conclusive evidence Can you look in my, look in my eyes Look in my, look in my eyes Look in my, look in my eyes

about

"for computerchemist fans only"
computerchemist's early recordings from the 1980s. volume one of a new retrospective series looking back at the origins of Dave Pearson's unique electronic music and influences.

reviews:

Origins is a new retrospective series featuring the early recordings of Dave ‘Computerchemist’ Pearson. I’ve been enjoying Dave’s Space Rock, Space-Prog and Berlin school electronica for some years now and am always interested in hearing the formative efforts of the artists I follow. There are three volumes available so far and I listened to the first, which consists of music recorded from 1980-85.
Right away I can tell that this fits in snugly with the kind of space electronica that characterized so many of the 1980s homemade music/cassette culture artists. Dave treats us to lots of hauntingly cosmic keyboard musings, kosmiche syncopations, sci-fi soundtrack pieces, at least one case of beautifully soaring guitar licks, and even a couple of cool spacey New Wave vocal numbers.
Most of the 11 tracks are fairly short(-ish), but the 16 minute ‘Glyder’ is an exception, which showcases Dave in splendidly cosmic Klaus Schulze mode. The aptly titled ‘Sequence 1’ is another longer track, which in addition to the bouncy sequenced patterns includes a sweet sounding flute like keyboard melody. Very nice.
I’m a lo-fi geek and Dave made impressive use of his gear in the 80s, leading to the accomplished works he’s been delivering these past years. The Bandcamp notes for the album self-consciously say, “for Computerchemist fans only”. Lots of my friends are fellow fans of, and were creators of, homemade music in the 1980s and would appreciate hearing these early efforts. Head this way for the Origins series and all things Computerchemist. -- Jerry Kranitz, 16 Jun 2020
